No ones responded in a while, I figured out what most of my issue was from. My iMac that I work on is old and I have an old version of adobe reader on it. So out of curiosity I transferred my pdf file to my new MacBook Air M1 & for the most part the pdf file no longer had any outline issues. I really didn't know or think that could have have been the issue - the actual reader being out of date, but thank you for the initial help.

@David in Яuislip I just realized what was different from my attempt with blend options (besides the .01 part) - I didn't select passthrough - but on mine there isn't an option to select passthrough unless I have to add it from the menu or something? see attachment. Also im in affinity Publisher - is passthrough an option in design or photo perhaps?

@David in Яuislip (it wouldn't let me directly at you) - I tried the blend mode - it wouldn't let me put that to box at .01 percent so I put it at one percent and I believe everything else matched what you had and it still did it - so maybe my export settings are off. - Attached is screen shot of blend options screen & pdf file Thank you for your time. Alright im back - to @NotMyFault I only put rasterize to "nothing" after it exported wrong to see if it would fix it. but I always start with the default export settings on my computer unless something goes wrong. I just tried exporting the file with defaults and It still came out wrong. Maybe my defaults are wrong? - Attached are the default export settings, performance settings and actual pdf. Yes, I didn't realize I could - thanks for asking. Also your 2nd and 3rd bullet responses I would like some clarity as im still a bit of a novice with the software. I use it everyday but I don't know design jargon well and im still learning. - How do you add a backfill layer? Would that be - I just duplicate a flower layer for example, make it white and put it behind each flower layer? If thats not what you mean please explain in layman's terms. - And Im not sure about the vector shape advice either sorry. Can you explain in a more simplified layman terms? Hello, The issue is when I export my files out of publisher which I work in the most - sometimes the pdf file will have a black outline around certain objects. I don't understand the problem or the fix for it. Sometimes I'll adjust export settings and it will work. Other times it doesn't work at all. So you'll see 2 files attached. 1st pic is the source file - and you can see everything looks fine so to speak - the flowers are the problem. 2nd pic shows what effect I have on the flowers. I just have the flowers filled with a color and I added some shadows to add depth. You can also see in the photo stroke is "none". 3rd pic is after the file was exported and you see a black outline Can someone help me understand the issue so that I can properly export the file? Im in affinity publisher currently. Things I tried - Converting to curves, rasterize, flatten image (separately to see if any one change would fix it to see individual variables). - Playing with the export settings in the "more" section and changed rasterize to "nothing", I tried Lanczos 3 separable & non separable, bicubic, bilinear, unchecking overprint black, unchecking honor spot colors, unchecking include layers (not all at once, I would uncheck one thing see if it worked and if it didn't I would re check it and try unchecking or changing something else). Hopefully my explanation of the issue is clear enough. Thank you for your time.

Okay I played around with it and the pen tool stroke was on 🙄 so I put the stroke style to none - how in the world smh. Interesting. Thank you Kindly - appreciate it!! Problem solved. Thank you both for your time and thanks GarryP for the solution. Have a nice day!

I appreciate you responding - but I don't understand what you mean and allow me to provide additional clarity. I've literally been using the tool all day everyday and all I did was click on the table tool like normal - create a new grid and started typing like normal and the font wasn't working properly. Also keep in mind if it matters I literally just finished like 6 documents before this happened and used the same tool the same way and for some reason suddenly now moving forward the fonts - all of them no matter which I choose all appear to be stuck in bold in the table tool. If I make the font larger its not as noticeable but you can see the issue when the font is smaller. With that in mind - if you still stand by what you said please elaborate so I can try what you're saying - I just want it to stop lol. Thank you for your time.

Ive been using publisher literally all day everyday to launch some digital products - nonstop for months. The software glitches from time to time but a reboot will normally fix the issue. In this instance the table tool font is not working properly as you can see in the screenshot. I have two documents to show the difference and the issue. The font in the table tool is suddenly stuck on bold and it doesn't matter which font I click on in the table they are all randomly bold looking instead of what the regular font option should look like even though bold is NOT selected. The only difference today out of the entire time I've used this software was I saved default settings for the table tool by going to the edit menu - defaults - save option to save the font I constantly use which is Malayalman Sangam MN - I got tired of having to select it in every document I used. I did that earlier today with not issues working on several documents successfully since my default settings were saved. Thats the only thing I did differently and so I tried to set the default back to factory settings thinking maybe it caused this issue even though it was initially working fine but it didn't do anything when I tried to go back to default. I tried factory reset, I rebooting my computer and I used Time Machine on Mac to go back to an earlier version of affinity from like 2 days ago after uninstalling the app to see if that would fix the issue. I also tried the table tool icons to see if I could fix it that way. Nothings worked - please help because the fonts looking like that is not esthetically pleasing for my work and I sell documents to people. For now - if I copy and past a table from any document I worked on right before this one the font is fine which is the example im showing in the screen shop a table to copied. But in any new document when I create a table I have this issue. Please help.
