  1. Thanks, i suspected this. what a pity the way i am working around it is fix the first image and write down the white balance and tint number and apply them manually. Not exactly convenient. Strange this is not in it, i would have thought this would have been standard feature. Ciet la vie thank for the feedback
  2. iPad Pro 12.9” 2021 M1 1TB 5th generation & Apple Pencil v2 affinity photo 2.0.3 Is it possible to copy the white balance settings from one photo (that has a grey card in it) to other photos taken in the same session? All my googling suggests no! But i can’t believe this is not possible thank you
  3. Thanks DWright and BarKeegan I will try these suggestions Thanks for the advice
  4. Photo on iPad I have been following various tutorials on YouTube and some have been very good. i wanted to cutout a head shot of a lady with fluffy hair and replace the background with a solid colour. i went into the selections person performed a magic brush to get most of the head and hair i then refined the selection with the refine brush and then went into black and white mode and touched up the selection. selected layer and mask and finished. added a fill layer of a particular colour, moved it below the fill layer below the image and all was good. I noticed some of the hair was missing “mid strand” so some strands of hair were “floating” in mid-air, so to speak. how can i add the missing section of the hair back? i have tried re-editing the layer but i think i may have the wrong layer/mask/colour/tool combination. I have confused myself i think. Or it can’t be done once i have made it transparent. thanks
  5. I thought i would also add; the actual brush I’m painting with doesn’t seem to be the same size as the circle indicates. I had a 100% hard brush the indicator circle was about 6 cm on the ipad screen but the brush was painting on the image at about 5mm could that have something to do with the zoom factor i was working on, i would have thought any zoom factor was accounted for maybe it’s just an indication of teh size, so you can get a “feel” to see if it’s getting bigger or smaller. I just thought it strange. thanks again is there a way to mark this thread as ANSWERED or is that not a method used in this fourum. maybe i have missed the answered button.
  6. Hello, Affinity Photo on iPad with an Apple Pencil (and my fingers of course 🙂 ) i think I’m asking for a paint brush indicator. If i have the terminology correct. A circle to show where the edges of the brush is when i am painting? if i change the size of the brush a white circle appears to show its size but then disappears. Can i make it stay visible so i can see where the edge of the brush is? Thanks
  7. thank you for the information. i’m glad i’m not filling up my ipad memory. thanks again
  8. Hello, affinity photo on ipad pro I have read and watched info about opening and importing but i’m still a little confused. Where are the extra file stored using import? I copy from my memory card some RAW files. I save them to a folder (not the apple photo app thingy) but a standard folder i can view with file browsers pro. Now in affinity photo i create a new project and then click the + icon to add images. if i select import from cloud i can see all the raw files in the folder and can import one. i can modify it then export to a jpg file. all good. but i can do exactly the same with open instead of import. if i use import the file name is remembered when i export the file if i use open the file name is not remembered, it has the default name of untitled.jpg is import saving a copy of my file in internal memory that i can’t access and thus filling up my memory. is there not a way to delete these internal files once i have finished? or have i got the wrong end of the stick here? or does it not apply here as i am opening a raw file and exporting to a jpg and not opening or importing a jpg and saving it out to a file. also can i fill the new empty project with all the files from my folder all at once or do i have to open/import them into the project individually? thanks for any clarification.
  9. Where do i change the profile picture? I can’t see it in settings or profile pages. i can change my name, email address, etc. but I can’t see the change profile Picture option. it’s probably staring me right in the face. thanks
  10. Thank you. At least I wasn’t missing something obvious. i assumed the export persona was where all exporting was done and there would be a list of preset (configurable) export options that i could just click on. it would be nice to hit ctr-E (my shortcut for export) followed by ENTER and job done. Also, It’s a pity the document export route can’t put in the filename from the original file name. Not the end of the world though. Just not as smooth as i thought it would be. thanks for the help. I shall carry on with the video tutorials. a lot of things are easier than in other programs though. and very fast on the iPad too.
