  1. Much appreciated. Yes, I saw in the other thread where it was reported previously, but from my experience and the other user's experience it seems to only affect 2.2.0 for us. My previous versions including 2.1.x didn't have the issues. So I wanted to make that distinction in case the issues is similar but different. As noted across the threads, I was able to recreate this issues on multiple 2.2.0 installs of Affinity Designer on 4 separate systems (2 windows, 2 Mac) with different hardware and 3 different license keys (if that would even make a difference). So definitely doesn't seem to be a specific hardware configuration. Thanks and please let me know if you would require additional info from my tests.
  2. I've confirmed that this is also an issue on Designer on Apple Silicon (2021 MacBook Pro with M1 Pro CPU). Again v2.2 of Designer. The problem seems to be platform agnostic.

  4. Since this is a problem on Mac, I've also created a cross linked post in the Mac Bug Reports forum:
  5. This is a problem already reported on the windows side, but I have confirmed it is also an issue on Mac in v2.2 in Designer. The linked post also claims this is an issue in Photo also. Here is my post on the Windows forum: I can confirm this is an issues on Designer v2.2.0 on Windows. I don't recall this being an issues on previous versions going back to v1.8.5. I can recreate this issue consistently on my computer with the same behavior...dragging a swatch onto the node on the gradient as pictured by the OP. Freezes Designer then crashes. I am able to work around it by selecting the node first then just clicking the desired color in the palette, but that is not as intuitive. My co-worker is able to reproduce this as well on his Windows machine as well. I just tested on my Intel 2018 Macbook Pro running Big Sur 11.4 and I can confirm it is an issues on Mac as well. I had no issues on the previous version 2.1.x, then I ran the updater and tried again and it crashed. I haven't had a chance to verify this on my Apple Silicon Mac yet.

  7. There are many things in Designer v2 that I love over v1, but I think one of the most useful feature to me and perhaps one of the most underrated feature additions is the Drawing Scale feature. I like the check box toggle added to the transform palette, to toggle scale on and off. I find that intuitive. Whether drawing scale is set via document setup or an artboard is set to have scale using the measuring tool and the "Assign Drawing Scale" button, the biggest drawback to this feature that I have found thus far is there is NO ability to export at the set scale...especially in vector formats where the scale would matter. It would be nice to have a toggle, perhaps similar to the toggle that shows up in the transform palette, within the vector options in the export window. So If I am working on a drawing that is say 1in:30ft and I draw a square that is 2in natively (or 60ft in scale). If I were to export that to an EPS file to bring into another applicaiton I could export it at the scale size (60ft square). Or if I don't care about the scale, I could export at the native size. I hope this makes sense. It seems like it should be a simple feature to add that would make the drawing scale feature even more useful. Regards.
  8. I know this is old, but for others you can probably do something like this in Affinity Publisher making a template with Photo Frames. Then all you’d have to do is place your images inside the frames. The frames have controls that allow you to move/zoom the places image within the frame fairly quickly. The. You’d just export the document. Publisher also has some data merge options you may be able to use for automatic placement but I’ve not messed with this. It’s commonly used for place text and images for something like a catalog layout.
