Using Text Tool In Publisher
IanBarber replied to IanBarber's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Thank you for that, that will certainly speed up my workflow. Not been using Publisher that long so still finding my way around it -
If I have a grey object with a Luminance value of say 60%, I would have thought that the scope intensity value would read 60%. Setting the luminosity to 100% makes the scope display 100 and setting the luminosity to 0% makes the scope show 0 but the values in between don't seem to represent properly on the scope.

@v_kyr I did try this in a Macro but then quickly realised that what you had said is correct which is very frustrating. If you set the Scale option in the Macro Library panel to Min Fit, I am sure it worked every time on any image. I never tried it it but I also think this option is Global across all Macros in the Library which if it is could lead to issues for other Macros in there. Do you know without me doing a bunch of testing if the Scale is Global to all.

With some of the software I create, I am thinking of supplying a PDF help type document for the end user so I thought about using Affinity Publisher. For those who have experience in this field, what do you suggest as a a document size with all these different devices we have these days. Do you go with A4 Portrait, Landscape or even some other size. It was much easier back in 1989 when we all used 640 x 480 monitors

@v_kyr I have a question regarding this please. If you copy the text and then start a Macro recording to paste and then export the macro and give it to someone else, will it still work ? If the answer is yes, then I am unable to figure out how the Macro knows what to paste if there is nothing in the clipboard.
