  1. @Dan C

    Here is my settings:

    image.png.2a1b87f8aea2f7ba22ba009096d1a44a.png

I tried to mess with these settings earlier, but nothing seem to have fixed it.

I am not using any of the software in the list except Display Fusion Pro. I tried to terminate it and kill it's process through the Task manager and restarted Designer, however did not change anything (I am also not experiencing the "Application hang/crash on open" anyway...)

    Hope this helps.

  2. Hi @Dan C,

Thanks for your reply, I am attaching the video. (Just to prevent further confusion, I am using Ctrl+Z to revert every change I am making. In the end of the video, the Ctrl+Z actually caused the glitch as well.)

Note that this is happening in both Affinity Designer and Photo.

As you can see the canvas will sometimes refresh only when mouse is moving over it and never updates until then. I am not showing it on the video, but this can also happen when working with Layer Effects window or other interface. It even happens when changing some input using keyboard while mouse is on canvas, it only triggers the refresh when mouse starts moving.

I am not using any special software to mess with my GPU that could be causing it.

Let me know if you want to see my specs or GPU settings.

Thanks for looking into this, it drives me crazy!

    Hi guys,

This has been logged but it doesn't always mean it makes it into beta's or release builds. I will definitely poke the bug report as it is being raised often enough for concern.

    Hi Chris,

I hope somebody is about to look at it soon, it has been 5 years and the problem is still there.

I have to manually check all the effects after pasting.

I still love Affinity software and I consider many functions designed in really smart way...this is not one of them however.

    Hi hydrowing,

    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

No, there's no way to keep them. This is a known bug that's already logged to be looked at.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Hi Pavel,

If you disable Move By Whole Pixels and left Force Pixel Alignment checked from the beginning it should do what you want, unless you use the transform panel to perform math operations that end with decimal values. Snapping will not interfere in this case because all objects are all pixel aligned from the beginning.

Currently there's no way to automatically adjust existing object's position so they fit the pixel grid.

I also think this should get more attention.

This is still driving me nuts 6 years later!

I am making pixel-perfect User Interface design and my X and Y keeps getting snapped on places where it will become not whole number.

If you do this with curves and then Rasterize them, it creates half-transparent pixels.

I have to constantly watch if it didn't accidentally snap to middle of something and it is incredibly annoying.

PLEASE, try to find some more elegant solution. This is really core of the vector software.

    Thanks

Thanks for the further info, I'll be sure to include this in the dev log :)

I would like to confirm something similar is also happening on Windows (10).

I have couple of layers in the Layers tab and I am clicking on them with the mouse randomly and they are visually being selected in the scene, however, sometimes it just forgets to select them and it only does so as soon as I move my mouse cursor to the scene. Very weird. The biggest problem is that it totally confuses me when I am working. When this happens, I can also see a microsecond of a flash of a correct selection but it disappears immediately - it is definitely some kind of bug.
