  1. Bearing in mind that there are pretty decent free or inexpensive third party options out there, I think it is a waste of time to code it into Designer. In fact, I don't rely on one single tracer, having two already installed plus an online one, as they provide different results. So, for me, having one more tracer built into Designer should be nice, but absolutely not important.

  2. Hi MEB;

    It happened with two different files when exporting them to the 'document' folder. I've applied the 'dfine' plugin to them, sharpening and cropping before exporting. The files are Fujifilm RAF. There were no problems with the previous MAS version. I'll try to reproduce it and tell you more.

    [edit] Well... did the same steps with the same files an everything seems to work fine. Apparently, a system reboot solved the problem.

  3. Hi, MacMyDay;

    This option may be only an Affinity Photo Beta feature yet, so if you're running the Mac Apple Store version it might not appear, I'm not sure about that.

    Other possibility is that you haven't checked the proper option in the System Preferences panel: go to system preferences/extensions and look for Affinity Photo, there you will see all options available. If the 'edit in affinity photo' checkbox isn't there, I think I'm right and you're running the MAS version and it does not support this feature yet.

  4. Hi;

    More a question than a request, let me know what you think.

    Currently, if I apply an adjustment over an image, when I close its window the adjustment keeps selected, forcing to manually select the original layer in order to perform other tasks.

    For example: let's play with the levels... ok, it's good. Now let's apply some focus... mmmh ¿why is it not working? Oh, the layer is unselected. Now let's apply some intensity... but I'm seeing some noise; as the noise filter doesn't work well yet, let's go to develop persona. ¿What? ¿An error message? Oh, it's the layer becaming unselected again.

    I'ts a bit annoying... ¿Should be more logical to keep the layer you came from selected after applying an adjustment?

    What do you think?

  5. No, just the opposite: the sliders work well, but as the number remains '0' I cannot do it with precision. The changes are reflected correctly.

    Tried a computer restart and resetting the program with no result.

    Here's a screen capture; you can see the slider moved to its bottom right with no change in the number.

    Thanks for the response;

  6. Hi;

    I'm giving the AfP extensions a try; regarding Apple Photo app, i've found this issue:

    I've loaded a bunch of JPG images into Photos. Selected one, clicked 'edit'; looked for the AfP extensions and selected the 'edit in affinity photo' one. Image loads into AfP normally. Edited it, exported, then closed. Back in Photos, clicked on Cancel in order to preserve the original.

    Then I selected a second photo and repeated the steps. When selecting the AfP extension, Apple Photo tries to load it into AfP, but the document never gets opened. Pressing cancel or closing the app brings a message indicating that the edition is in progress, but the document never gets loaded into AfP.

    Quitting Apple Photos and reopening it brings me to step 1: can edit the first image, but hangs on the second.

    My camera's RAW format isn't compatible with Photos, so I cannot tell you if this is a JPG issue or a general one.

  7. Next Bug :unsure:

    I wanted to make a few HDR-Photos, that i shot yesterday. (i wanted to make a panorama of 7 HDR Photos - three jpg pictures each HDR)

    4 of 7 HDR-Photos were created correctly, but the 5th of them couldn't be created. I see a statusbar named "Tone Map" 100%... and then, after an amount of time, my mac os ran out of memory, and want to stop AP directly. After that i want to restart AP, but AP doesn't open up again and i also can't restart mac os becaus AP is started. I also can't close AP with APPLE+Command+ESC.

    After a hard reset (power off), i started AP and want to create this HDR by a second try. In activity monitor i saw, that AP takes more and more memory... up to 80GB of RAM, before it is stopped by mac os. And then... same procedure...

    Hope this helps... ;)

    This also happened to me. AP got stuck at 'creting tone map' and had to shut down to prevent my mac from exploding. As in toto's issue, many photos were open in different tabs (ten, I think). Maybe I was pushing my little mac mini beyond its limits.

  8. Hi;

    Found a little language error in the menus. The option associated to cmm-Z, Undo, is correctly written when there's nothing to undo: 'deshacer'. But when an action has been performed, for example 'transformar', it changes to 'rehacer transformar'. It should be 'deshacer transformar'.

    It happens in both apps (and in the MAS version too).

  9. Hi;

    I'm having trouble with the develop persona. All the options work correctly except the noise reduction one; I'm able to use it, make the changes properly to the image, but when I hit the develop button those changes are lost. It only happens with noise reduction, any other setting I use works fine and remains after develop. Did anyone encounter something similar?

    Thanks;

    Val
