Thanks for your reply. I found still a 'new' Photo Work Book two weeks ago at Amazon and ordered it right away. I am happy I still got one; it's a great book. According to Affinity there isn't any new edition planned right now...

I don't think there is anything in chapter 1 that requires specific images, and as far as I know the book doesn't provide samples there.
For chapter 2, the download instructions are on the top of page 86 (first white page of the chapter, in my edition), under the heading "BEFORE YOU GET STARTED", in the Resources section. Just type that address exactly as shown into the address bar of your web browser and it should download a .zip file. Unzip that file, and you'll find all the resouces for that chapter.
