I am having difficulty when exporting a document to pdf, specifically regarding a png image file that has been inserted into a document. The image looks okay when opened on it’s own before being used, however it becomes fragmented once the document it is on is exported to pdf.
I am using a tiff file with a selection made to mask the back ground, then exporting this as a png file. This png image is then inserted into a document in Publisher.
If the layer/ image is rasterised, it is okay on export to pdf however there is a slight loss of detail. If the same document is exported to jpg or tiff there are no problems.
Am I making an error somewhere in the process?
I have attached a screen shot of the fragmented image after export to pdf and the original image
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am new to the whole process. Alternatively is there a link to a tutorial or guide as I can't find anything specifically dealing with saving a masked image that has solved the problem
