Hi all, I am certain there is going to be real simple explanation for this... I have had a scan of the form and can't see any similar questions. So I created my project in Affinity Designer 2. I saved it (and exported a .png version) I have then come back to my original file as I now want to do a different colour variation. However, when I select the colour panel the only option I get is a box saying "edit global colour", when I select this and try to select a new colour nothing changes. I've attached a screen shot so you can see what I mean. Am I doing something fairly basic wrong here? Thanks in advance, Mark

Hi Folks, I am trying to use a specific PANTONE colour in Designer 2 (Mac). I know that I can search in each of the 12 PANTONE colour swatches selections but when I use the search option I cannot find the one I am after. Even though I got the colour code from the PANTONE website. I am trying to find... 19-3832 TCX which is a navy blue. Any suggestions? Thanks again Mark

Morning, Thankyou from replying. I’ve tried that but all that happens is my image disappears. I am certain I am doing something fundamentally simple and wrong. All I want to do is create a distressed edge to the image. Big ask but anyone able to give me a step by step guide on the process. thanks folks Mark

Hi all, been a very long time since I last posted on here. So I am trying to apply a mask to an image an Image I created. It is a logo using the Union Jack flag and I want to give the edges a distressed look. Being as I was out of practice with Affinity I used the good old University of YouTube and came across this video... I am trying to do the section timed at 12m 27seconds. However... nothing happens when I try to drag the logo into the texture layer. I've attached a screen shot of what I am getting.... in short nothing. I am pretty sure I am making a simple error but can anyone help me out?

Hi Folks, I am using the new Version 2 suite on Mac. I am a long time Version 1 user. I have just noticed that when using Photo there may be a slight bug with the white balance when using presets in develop persona. I have created my presets and quickly noticed that when I select them the White balance is not changing as it should. Only once I click on the white balance adjustment does it eventually change. Bit odd. Regards Mark

OK, I have sort of got round this. When I go CTRL click and to SPREAD PROPERTIES for some reason "FACING" is selected. When I change it to "SINGLE" I get the desired result. Any ideas as to how I set "SINGLE" as the default setup rather than "FACING" ?

Hi Folks, First time AF Publisher user here and I am just trying to get to grips with it. I have been using a few tutorial videos to get me up to speed. In one I have come across an issue... I have been trying to follow along with a video (Link posted below). However, I have an issue right at the start with the document setup. Here is the link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=27&v=BlhJFQNpLAY&feature=emb_logo Go to about 1:08 minutes in she creates her document. Now when the document is created she has a Master A, Page 1 and Page 2. All three are the same size. Now when I create it mine looks like the screen shot I have attached below. There is an obvious difference in the Master Page size and normal pages. When I check the document set up it is all correct. My master page looks like it is two of my pages stuck together when the one in the video looks like a single page. I have gone over the video numerous times and copied everything but keep getting the same result. Any ideas? It's driving me nuts... and I know it is going to be something simple that I am missing. I’ve got the same problem. When trying to load my LUT they are all greyed out. I’m assuming it’s a file compatibility issue? Even so thoug I am able to load them on my desktop version of AP but just not my iPad version. thanks Makr

Hi folks, I’m new to AF for iPad having used AF desktop for a while now. I'm having some issues with certain adjustments. I wanted to make a curves adjustment on an image today but when I went to the adjustments menu and selected curves it didn’t give me any further options. There is no context menu or anything ?! Ok, I am having an issue with this. I am trying to right click on the macro and it is very hit or miss if anything comes up. On the odd occasion I do get the right click options... such as edit macro etc. When I select Edit macro nothing happens! Is there any other way to export a Macro?

Hi Folks, Ive been a long time user of AP (And AD actually) and I am about to switch over to use AP for iPad to help my workflow whilst on location. Is it possible to export my presets and Macros from AP desktop to the iPad version? Thanks in Advance Mark

Hi Folks, I'm pretty sure there is going to be a simple and easy way to do this that is glaringly obvious... but I still need to ask. Lets say I have created a number of objects and I want to know what the distance/pixel count is between those objects... is there a way to show this? Cheers is advance Mark

Hi Folks, After some help again. I have a logo I am trying to export for me to use in a Wordpress site. I have created my document (1200 x 300px) with a transparent background selected. I created he logo (Basic white text) and then exported it as a Jpeg. When I then uploaded into Wordpress all i get is a white background colour. Any ideas or suggestions? Cheers Mark

Hi Folks, I have come across the fact that ON1 is offering out ON1 effects 2018 as a free download. It comes with a load of Photoshop (Sorry for swearing) plugin's. I am having some trouble with getting these to work with Affinity. I have come across old posts on here from the start of the year stating that Affinity does not support ON1... does anyone know if that is still the case? I successfully use the NIK (Formerly Google) collection Plugin's on a regular basis and with some great success with Affinity. Any ideas? Mark

Hi Folks, I'm after some help again.... So I really admire two very very good automotive photographers... Amy Shore and Laurent Nivalle. Both have a similar(ish) style and this extends to their editing process. I have read numerous interviews with both of them and they both mainly use Photoshop (Sorry to swear!) rather than lightroom and I am very keen to try and re-caprture their respective styles but by using Affinity Photo. I have attached two files which are photos from both Laurent and Amy respectively. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction to try and obtain the same style? Obviously I don't want to be copying their styles out right as that is not what photography is all about but I am very curious as to how to achieve this. Thanks folks, hope you can help. Hi Folks, It's been a while since I've been on here. Must mean I've been getting better with AP and AD... hmmm. Anyway.... Artboards, what are they all about? I understand the idea behind them, useful for showcasing projects etc but they do confuse me and I am after some help. I have created a number of social media ready type banners and profile photos etc that I plan to use across various social media platforms for a new upcoming venture. I have each of these created as separate files having used both AD and AP to create them. I then thought it would be good to have them printed so that I can pin them up in my office and mull them over. I thought what would be the best way to place all of these separate files onto a single sheet and print it to display it. Then I thought of artboards. Now first things first am I being daft and this isn't a good use of art boards in this situation? secondly. How the hell do I place all my separately created layer files onto a single artboard? is it possible or am I just getting the whole concept totally wrong and this isn't going to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated as alway. Thanks Mark
