  1. Thank you! It looks like my problem is not related to this option. I have a theory of why this might be happening. The eraser tool can be used in the same principle as the colour picker - hold down the corresponding key and use it while it is held down. When the key is released, it returns to the previous main instrument. However, if you press it fast enough, it permanently switches to another tool. I think, there are some internal timings that we can't tweak for such tools. However, at some point, after a certain amount of work time without program restart, the permanent switch mode stops working and only the return-tool-back mode is activating, despite my pressing time, even after a super quick one. Restarting the Affinity Photo fixes the problem. I suppose, after some time the performance is slowly (sometimes noticeably) degrading, at least at my Macbook Pro, and Affinity cannot handle switching to the quick-press mode anymore, so I'm constantly returning to the previous tool (the brush in my case). And again, restarting the Affinity resolves the problem of switching tools and the overall performance.
  2. Thank you, now I understand how it works. Could you tell me where I can find this setting, please?
  3. I usually switch between brush and eraser very often. Everything works great until the moment when Affinity Photo, for some reason, doesn't allow me to select the eraser again. I click on the eraser with a hotkey, but it returns me to the previous tool - a brush or something else. Selecting the eraser from the panel works normally. All other tools switch normally too. I haven't yet been able to reproduce this on purpose; it happens randomly. Restarting Affinity Photo helps, but it may happen again during the working process.
  4. Thank you, "I" actually works a bit better, but still not perfect for the smooth working process. It has some special internal timings for just a quick pick and switch to the picking tool, which causes tool mis-switches. Also, it still, unfortunately, doesn't show the picked colour around the cursor, at least you drag the tool.
  5. When I use the brush and hold Alt to select a different colour, the icon doesn't change at that moment. This leads to misclicks and it's confusing as well; I'm not sure if I've picked up the colour until I try the stroke. It's annoying. I know that I can start dragging the cursor and see a detailed colour selection, but more often I need to make a single click to quickly work. I'd like to see a dropper icon when I hold Alt and get confirmation feedback when I select a colour. Thanks!
  6. + I also want to be able to resize the colour box. Horizontally is fine, but vertically very short, therefore too sensitive to select the desired colour

  8. Hello! Would be very helpful to have a convenient control of the brush panel. As an artist I don't need to have brushes window on the screen all of the time, but having a quick way to open the brushes panel (with the right mouse button or a button on the stylus) would be a convenient way. Also seeing several brushes categories at the same time as an VERY essential way to work with brushes for fast switching between them. (as Photoshop is capable to) Now Affinity takes long time to switch between categories, so brushes workflow is very unpleasant. All the above are the only things stops me to use the program as an artist! (And for some other artists I know as well!)
  9. Hello! I create a new brush category and go to another one. If I touch some brush and go back - Affinity crush on this moment or later if I touch another brushes. It can have glitches with fantom previous brush also. Screen Recording 2022-01-21 at 20.34.54.mov Screen Recording 2022-01-21 at 20.34.10.mov
