  1. I had a similar problem. Imported .psd files (in a tan color) sometimes went wholly or partially black when exporting. Testing a suggestion here above I printed the file out in .ps (using Adobe/Windows pdf printer, which is actually my default one!) and distilling it in Acrobat Distiller everything came out fine. So, thanks for the tip. Bodvar
  2. Thanks, It took me a while to find out about this in the newest version of Affinity 1.10.4 with .idml contents with a plethora of overrides. But there it was in the leading overrides! Beats me why designers do have to make things so complicated! KISS = make Paragraph Formats as much as possible/practicable and only other formats (Character Formats or overrides) if PFs wo'nt handle it.
  3. Thank you for this thread. I have exactly the same problem. However the word file is filled with graphics and very large (178 pages). AP Crashes almost as soon as placing the file. When copying from Word and placing in a text frame the contents seems unusable, maybe 1 or 2 lines per page in a small font and no graphics included. PDF I had almost no problem with (except learning how to work the contents afterwards!). I have through the years (since 2005) mostly used Adobe FrameMaker for my layout work, a very robust thing (before that Aldus PageMaker and then the Adobe ID 1.2) so I am new to Affinity since autumn 2021. Do we have any solution yet?
