1. Hello, I am new to the forum and I would need some advice on the switch from Adobe (CS6) to Affinity before making my choice. Would you be willing to take some of your time to give me your opinion on the matter? Please feel free to refer me to people in your networks if needed. I am currently on Adobe CS6 but I feel I am reaching the end of the software (and my OS is macOS Sierra 10.12) So far so good but I'm thinking of switching to a newer system to have more up to date maintenance. Avoiding switching to the Creative CC version, a bit expensive for my taste. Like any change, there is always a part of unknown. That I try to apprehend as much as possible. Here is my current use: We create advertising calendars (www.ameline-calendrier.fr: it's not advertising, it's just to visualise the type of creation we do). Illustrator => used to create the calendar grids, with the names of the saints, the dates, the moons, ...) I currently use the script variableimporter.jsx to import CSV or XML data. Then I do batch processing and also data merges I'm interested in any options related to data transfer via API or other to automate models. Photoshop => used to generate graphic backgrounds Photo stitching, use of eraser tool, use of shapes Indesign => used to import the background (Photoshop format), the calendar grid (Illustrator format) and then to format the client's advertising insert (contact details, logos, photos, etc.) Here are my questions: Is it easy to re-use the files from Adobe? Illustrator / Photoshop / Indesign I work with external graphic designers who use Adobe. Can they send me their work and can I modify it? And the other way around, what if I send them Affinity files? Can they open it with Adobe? Is the generation of PDFs for printing as well handled as with Adobe? Is PostScript required? Are overprints generated correctly? Are Mac and Windows versions fully compatible? Is there a way to work collaboratively on a project or to easily share working folders? I've probably forgotten a lot of things, but this is a start. Thank you in advance and happy holidays! Best wishes, Jérôme Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
