  1. Yes, it's so sad, since the program on the other hand works really fine and quick. I use it for simple scaled graphs and schematic drawings and I'm really missing the dimensions in a scaled graph. You may have read the shit storm appearing in this forum when Designer 2 was published concerning this missing feature. (I cannot tell it in other words…) Every Update (now 2.0.4) Im eagerly waiting for this line type… We hope for the next future. Regards to all the hopefully patient users…
  2. I quickly installed V2 and was deeply disappointed, since the dimension lines aren't available finally, despite of being announced. It might be interesting to measure objects, but it's really necessary to have permanent lines with automatically written numbers and units on them. Just look at a technical or architectural drawing. Then you know, what we mean. So I enjoy having the scales as at least a step in the right direction. But, please, introduce the new line type with automatic numbering printable as soon as possible. Then I may finally leave my old program having these things. I have been waiting urgently for the dimension lines in this new version.
  3. this is a similar work around to what I did. I used 1:1 scale with a grid of 1 mm and my paper size is DIN A0, which allows objects of 800 x 600 mm in real-size dimensions. Printing it with 35 % size fits on DIN A4 paper. But this is only one special applications. I also would like to draw 10 x 10 m (architectural drawings) and this isn't really reasonable. I would be glad to hear from a new version, which provides scales!
  4. I also very much miss the possibility to make a scale drawing. (e.g. 1 m in reality = 10 cm in the drawing, etc.). This then also directly involves the question of a dimension line. The simplest form, a straight line, which contains a number (possibly with unit) at the line, which automatically shows the length in real units. Have I possibly overlooked the dimension line feature? I have searched long and thoroughly.
