Thank's for your answer One layer is selected, the selection is obtained but with no dimension in the transform tool and we cannot use it to transform accurately the selection and use it as a mask. If I create a new selection with the manual rectangle selection tool, I get an approximative identical selection (see below) with the dimensions (but less accurate, because manual). Furthermore, if I use a reserved channel to load a selection I do not get the dimensions and the transform tool is not usable. MacBook Pro Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity up to date 1.10.4

Hello I don't understand why, using "selection from a layer" (Shift+Command+O) the selection is active and we can paint in, but we do not get any dimension of the selection and the transform tool is unusable. To obtain dimension, we must use the rectangular selection tool, but the result is much more approximative. Thanks for your help Regards JPF
