  1. Nope. Not supported in V2 Windows 10 (latest version from Windows Update). I just tried a couple other jpgs. And a png. Works with AD V2 and APub V2. Not Affinity Photo V2!
  2. Nope. Not supported in V2 Windows 10 (latest version from Windows Update). I just tried a couple other jpgs. And a png. Works with AD V2 and APub V2. Not Affinity Photo V2!
  3. I get a circle with a slash in the app. Same photo dragged into V1 works. I just tested it. I have to use File->Open to browse to a file to open it. Can anyone else here drag and drop a file into V2 to work on it? I have not tried the same with the the other two yet.
  4. All three V2 applications that I purchased from the Affinity website installed and created shortcuts in the Start menu for me. I just had to right-click on them to create a desktop shortcut and pin to the taskbar. They even imported the plugins I had in the V1 ones. All three load up fine and after rebooting they still load. But what doesn't work is that I cannot drag a jpg from a folder into an open V2 Affinity photo to edit it! There is an icon in the program with the circle and slash telling me that it does not work!
  5. Me neither. I didn't think of that. It is something I need to do too. I can't find where everything was installed to. I switched to have all apps installed on my E drive but I do not see anything, even when I am showing hidden items. Rats.
  6. And Walt is right as usual. They got listed in the start menu under A. I right-clicked to install them all on the start menu, pinned to the taskbar and created desktop shortcuts just like he said. Same deal with all other Windows programs. Where they got installed, I do not know yet because I haven't looked. I used his "trick" about where to install apps on another drive. I will check tomorrow. And, all three asked me if I want to install V1 plugins and the installation found everything from the store and also I think it found everything else on my hard drives, or most and installed them. I am sorry about my attitude today in other posts regarding the installation of V2. I lost my 57 year old wife of 29 years and best friend Kristin to cancer a little over three weeks ago. I have been heartbroken, overwhelmed and plain tuckered out with everything I have had to do since then. Some of you helped me with a photo of her and I appreciated it very much. A friend had it printed out and framed and it looks great. -paul
  7. Thanks Walt. But after reading about all the problems getting V2 to work, it is going to be a while before I purchase them. I have no time for this, and maybe not the need. Will probably miss the intro pricing. I assume V2 works alongside V1.
  8. This is like installing a very, very old DOS game in Windows from the late 80s and 90s. The install program should do all the work and not the user. And will my hundreds of dollars of plug-ins (brushes, styles, macros, assets...) that I have purchased for all three previous versions work with V2 ones?
  9. They are whole new products, so new licenses. There is a FAQ on the home page.
  10. So, are you saying that Version 2 *must* be installed on the C drive? I do the same thing that you do. And on networks, I think the C drive can be off limits. I wrote software for a very long time, and with some companies I dealt with there was a Quality Assurance person or department that I had to deal with. Nothing would go into production unless the person or department approved. At first, I wondered if all these Windows problems exist because Serif is probably an all Apple business but I see that even Mac and iPad users are having troubles too.
  11. Thank you smadell. I will give it a go. But it looks like she has a splotch on the left side of her face. Maybe it is just her hair. It is also in the original. Hmmm... Any way, her face is now brightened up!
  12. Hi, She seems very dark in this photo (that I did not take). I need to use it for something (print for the most part_. Thank you so much!
  13. Hi All, Not sure if this is going to happen but I may have to travel for something very soon and I would like to be productive and use an iPad. Do I need the latest and greatest model of an iPad Professional? Maybe a refurbished one? My main computer is a Windows machine. I would need to transfer what I have been working on the road to my home computer. And I am thinking about the iPad because of using a stylus/pen. I also have a lot of products purchased for the desktop versions of Designer and Photo. I realize that most have an iPad version that came with my purchases. I would be willing to purchase the iPad versions and also the iPad versions of Affinity's products again of course! Also concerned with storage on the iPad. I don't have to load up everything that I own, just need to whittle down what is important to what I think I will need while on the road. Thanks!
  14. Hi, This is what happens when I increase the stroke width. Even if I specify no stroke it adds one any way. And if I make the stroke color the same color, it still does this to the letter:
  15. Thank you v_ I multiplied both by 2 and it worked great! I will try it with a smaller font. And duplicating too! -fp
  16. Hi, How would I make the Y thicker in H Y L in a textbox? If I increase the stroke, it starts making it blacker and rounder. -fp hyl.afdesign
  17. You are right Walt! It isAffinity Photo that has the apply button and works as I would like a crop tool to work. I will probably use Photo from now on for cropping. Thanks!
