All three V2 applications that I purchased from the Affinity website installed and created shortcuts in the Start menu for me. I just had to right-click on them to create a desktop shortcut and pin to the taskbar. They even imported the plugins I had in the V1 ones. All three load up fine and after rebooting they still load. But what doesn't work is that I cannot drag a jpg from a folder into an open V2 Affinity photo to edit it! There is an icon in the program with the circle and slash telling me that it does not work!

And Walt is right as usual. They got listed in the start menu under A. I right-clicked to install them all on the start menu, pinned to the taskbar and created desktop shortcuts just like he said. Same deal with all other Windows programs. Where they got installed, I do not know yet because I haven't looked. I used his "trick" about where to install apps on another drive. I will check tomorrow. And, all three asked me if I want to install V1 plugins and the installation found everything from the store and also I think it found everything else on my hard drives, or most and installed them. I am sorry about my attitude today in other posts regarding the installation of V2. I lost my 57 year old wife of 29 years and best friend Kristin to cancer a little over three weeks ago. I have been heartbroken, overwhelmed and plain tuckered out with everything I have had to do since then. Some of you helped me with a photo of her and I appreciated it very much. A friend had it printed out and framed and it looks great. -paul

This is like installing a very, very old DOS game in Windows from the late 80s and 90s. The install program should do all the work and not the user. And will my hundreds of dollars of plug-ins (brushes, styles, macros, assets...) that I have purchased for all three previous versions work with V2 ones?

So, are you saying that Version 2 *must* be installed on the C drive? I do the same thing that you do. And on networks, I think the C drive can be off limits. I wrote software for a very long time, and with some companies I dealt with there was a Quality Assurance person or department that I had to deal with. Nothing would go into production unless the person or department approved. At first, I wondered if all these Windows problems exist because Serif is probably an all Apple business but I see that even Mac and iPad users are having troubles too.

Hi All, Not sure if this is going to happen but I may have to travel for something very soon and I would like to be productive and use an iPad. Do I need the latest and greatest model of an iPad Professional? Maybe a refurbished one? My main computer is a Windows machine. I would need to transfer what I have been working on the road to my home computer. And I am thinking about the iPad because of using a stylus/pen. I also have a lot of products purchased for the desktop versions of Designer and Photo. I realize that most have an iPad version that came with my purchases. I would be willing to purchase the iPad versions and also the iPad versions of Affinity's products again of course! Also concerned with storage on the iPad. I don't have to load up everything that I own, just need to whittle down what is important to what I think I will need while on the road. Thanks!
