  1. By "fix" I meant not continuing to get the warnings telling me I need to fix.
  2. To clarify, here is my font manager screen shot. These substitutions come up already filled in when I click the "Missing Font" messages. So, if I understand correctly, these substitutions are only temporarily and I need to manually go in and do Find and Replaces to fix? When I click the Locate button on this page, I usually don't see the font problem in question (often because it's a space). I assumed there would be a button or something on this Font Manager page that would implement all of these substitutions at once. (I'm used to Indesign, where I could substitute missing fonts at the click of a button.) That's not possible here, right?
  3. Thank you. Under Anchor Properties, I have "Export PDF as bookmark" already selected. (I also have including bookmarks selected when exporting.) The resulting pdf shows bookmarks in some applications (such as Adobe, Wondershare on Mac) but not Preview, the default Mac app. That application shows zero bookmarks in the document.
  4. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I don't see how to replace a mixing font other than to go in and manually find and replace it. Using Fonts Manager, I see the missing fonts and select substitute fonts, but I don't see how to implement those replacements at once. Using Publisher 2 2.4. 2 on a Mac 14. 141.
  5. just fyi, I was having the same problem in Publisher 2 2.4.2 but neither of the 2 options above solved the problem for me because I couldn't get the Anchors panel to show up. In this version, the panel is under Window > References > Anchors. The program crashed a few times while editing anchors, specifically, when I click the icon to have the anchor export as a bookmark. Is there a way to convert a bunch of anchors into bookmarks in this version without causing the application to crash? (I'm on a MacBook Air Apple M3 14.4.1). I may try the update but am always wary of updating while finishing up a large project.
  6. Thank you. This helped. What was confusing me is that I created it as a Curve, not Curve Text.... somehow in moving it around it changed to Curve Text. This has happened a number of times but now I know to look for it.
  7. As a workaround, I created a similar shape and was able to change the color on that new one. But I've repeatedly had a problem with shape color and opacity not working as expected. I thought copying the shape may anticipate the problem but I just copied a newly created one and that shape changed color as expected.
  8. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but can't reliably change the color of a shape I created in Publisher. Selecting the shape and different swatches doesn't change the color; nor am I able to change the opacity. I haven't had this problem in previous versions. Screen recording attached. (I'm trying to alter the color of the darker blue background, created using the pen tool.) Screen Recording 2024-04-28 at 11.02.32 AM.mov
  9. Thank you. I changed the setting on my new laptop to show the scrollbar always and that part is good now. I use the up/down arrow keys regularly not as app-specific shortcuts but as a tool that works on various applications to go up and down a page. (No need to hit CMD or other buttons simultaneously, or to change defaults, previously.) On version 2.3 on my older Mac, these arrows are functional. On the update on my new Mac, they are not. I am not looking to always jump to a new page -- sometimes I just need to go in higher or lower on the same page. I can press the space bar (to get the hand symbol) and then move the mouse or trackpad up and down, but I'm used to using the arrows and would like those to work as per usual.
  10. Just updated Affinity Publisher 2 and I can no longer use the arrow keys to easily scroll up and down a page vertically. The vertical scroll bar on the right of my active page also seems to have disappeared. The only current way to go back and forth on different pages is to rely on the page thumbnails. I'm on a new Mac 14.4.1. carrie
  11. I regularly run into problems when I need to edit a mask on an adjustment layer. I can delete the area affected by the mask with no problem, but can't seem to ADD bits back to the mask via a brush. My understanding is that I should be able to select the mask in the layers menu and use the black brush to draw additional masked parts. What am I doing wrong? Example below. (I'm trying to cover some white bits here with more of my aqua mask but the black brush deletes mask rather than adding to it. Note that I click Control + Z to undo the impact of the black brush.) 12. Yes, the text was downloaded from Google docs. The links show up when I open the text files in Word or TextEdit AND when I import into Publisher. But when I apply a body/paragraph style to them, it eliminates URLs. I am using Publisher 1.10.6
  13. With placed text in Affinity Publisher, how can I retain hyperlinks that appear within body copy when applying a paragraph style? I need to format the paragraphs but don't want to lose my links in the process. (I tried applying a character style but that only affects the look of the text; the link disappears.)
  14. Thanks, that is helpful. I didn't realize that I could still use the scroll bar on the Pages section.
  15. Thanks for your response. Is there a version of Publisher 2 that doesn't have this bug? Could I delete my up-to-date Publisher 2 and replace with that version? I have a 70+ page document to complete soon; as-is this isn't usable for me.
