Painting on a mask
in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

I am making a mask to hide shadows on a face. I am using a MacBook Pro running os 11.6. I am doing the following steps:
1) add new fill layers from layers menu
2.Invert the mask
3 change to brush (b)
4 opacity 100, flow 100, hardness 0%
5 change color to white
6 When I go to paint on fill layer, brush puts down white on image instead of covering shadow on face so it is hidden.
