[How to Register / Align Photos]

Is there a straight and simple way to register and align a few photos in Affinity Photo? The pictures were taken hand-held, of the same subject and may be slightly out of register.

I would like to stack them using Brooks Jensens' "mean stack photos" technique to eliminate noise. The URL in which he describes this is behind a paywall, but a quick summary: take several photos of the same photos in burst mode; align them and then stack them. This should go a long way toward eliminating noise.
