    This!
This is an essential and VERY easy to implement feature: just grab whatever feature is wanted from the currently selected item and traverse the tree. Done.

While we are at it: Another hard to miss feature: Select a bunch of objects, click one of them to designate as the reference object, then do whatever alignment on them.
And no, to use a dropdown menu to select first/last is just not cutting it. Again, rather easy to implement.
Before adding more complex features, Serif should rather focus on usability. Because without the latter, the former don't matter.

Please Affinity developers, make this request happen. A bit of polish to the app would be great help.

Of course you can prepare art for Page Plus with Affinity software. You just have to export art files as compatible format.

Fixx got a reaction from BartHovis in Crop and Rotate in Develop Persona
Seems there is no rotate tool in Development module as developers though photo metadata always tells how to orient image. That is not the case and sometimes landscape/portrait tick is ignored. I guess you are supposed to develop your RAW sideways and rotate it after development in normal Photo persona.

I would think that is for making it easier to work with Wacom.

In the develop persona I can choose to display clipping warnings (blue for shadows and red for highlights, and even colour clipping warnings). Please add those to the photo persona. Super easy change, super useful addition. Or have I missed them?

Fixx got a reaction from Jeff McFarland in Why does Dodge and Burn tools don't work on masks?
There is no valid reason why all pixel adjustment tools should not be applicable to all pixel selections, be they ordinary image or just a separate channel.

Fixx got a reaction from Nnbveh in How to edit selection and 'blend' it with the rest?
Blurring the border pixels is not the optimal way. Better would do the manipulation to a separate layer and feather the border of the manipulated layer. (That is regardless you use AP or PS.)
You could also manipulate original layer direct but then you should start with feathered selection.

Fixx got a reaction from Scott Prock in AF Photo - How do I punch a hole in an object
If you do not want to rasterize layer (for example to be able to scale it freely later on) you can mask a hole to your image. That is non-destructive and keeps the original image as it is.

I use autotrace about once a year and then I want it to be adjustable and tweakable as much as possible. I use a separate tool because of that.

I'm using Mobirise and I'm surprised how fast and easy the process is. I managed to put together a website with lots of personal content (around 150 images) in just a few days.
And all is just drag and drop. So this might be the future for website building. Much better than the Adobe Muse way of doing it.

How would grouping make text curves? It should stay editable. Are you sure you are not using control-enter which indeed makes curves?

Please could we have drag & drop for Panorama, Stack, Focus Merge, HDR & Batch job images.
Its having to go through the rigmarole of clicking the ADD button and navigating through the countless folders to find the images, when most of the time we have the images ready for processing.

Fixx reacted to shojtsy in Add icon to indicate presence of blend options
When you add layer effects to layer they are indicated in the layer panel with an "fx" icon next to the layer. However if you modify the blend ranges for a layer they are not indicated in any way, and the presence of the blend range setting is only visible if you know to open the blend options cog icon. With many layers this can become confusing. Please add a cog icon next to the layer in a similar fashion as the fx icon when the blend range options are not on the default setting to indicate their presence.

"Transform each" is the term used in other softwares, I believe. It could be an option tick in transform panel or context toolbar.

    Hi,
it would be a nice feature if we could rotate, flip... objects from their own rotation center when they are selected instead of doing it one by one. If there would be plus an option for random angle of rotation it could be even nicer.

if I use free hand tool for example in a set of photos.
If I select in the first on to use polygonal mode and "new boundary" mode, every time I swap from a photo to another I Have to re-select them they fall back to default free hand mode and "add boundary" mode.
same thing in perspective distortion: i HATE the grid it puts when hit the function. So I have do deactivate it EVERY TIME. There's no way for the program to remember , in general, last used settings, in all commands? Photoshop does, for example.

Fixx got a reaction from MMXVII in Copy pixel selection
Basically it would work like macro: duplicate layer, rasterize duplicated layer, copy selection, delete duplicated layer. Thus you have rasterized selection copy in clipboard, original *image* layer untouched. I just think it is unnecessary to do duplicate/rasterize procedure when copy selection is obvious intent and AP should allow that.

I consider this not quite a bug but deficiency in AP. You should be able to copy marquee area from *image* layer without rasterizing (or rather, rasterizing a copy in the background as needed). I wish this will be added in the future.
