Indeed AD should be able to tell length of a line. I hope it will be added soon.
sqrt(w^2+h^2) works but surely feels a funny UI for a measure tool 😄

keyboard shortcuts, which you can customize to your own personal taste. That's flexibility.
It would help some people a lot if toolbars were customizable and those setups were saveable as presets. Aiffinity could even supply several setups for different tasks (preferably with panel setups – much like InDesign workplaces).

Usually this correction is done in Develop persona > Lens Correction, but this is so extreme distortion that it has to be done otherwise. Mesh warp tool is helpful but even there it takes a lot of fiddling to get it done.

It is just weird to use CMD-key for copy-drag.

In Another Software keys are exactly opposite. Alt copies, Control disables snap. No wonder there are problems.
I wish Affinity would change this behaviour.

You can enter the desired page size in Document setup. Or you can export your artwork as selection only.
Transparent background is also set in Document setup, Colour tab.

It should be a Designer feature but it is not yet...

For OP it does not really matter if they are logically in the right places, they are just physically so far apart that it is too long a trip to make with mouse... usually it does not matter but here it is a repeated routine which soon becomes drudgery.

I do not usually need autotrace, but last case was:
Take a birch image, run it through autotrace, simplify it to a full, add it to an illustration as several copies. Illustration depicted effect of plants/foliage in dampening noise.

Alt + LMB works when you use certain tools, like the ones in the lower part of toolbox.

There are several ways of doing T-shirt printing: easy, cheap and bad (vinyl printing) and not-so easy and good (silkscreen) and full commercial product manufacturing.

Question isn't "same" size, but "whole pixels". This is because any deviations must be compensated by adding pixels when exporting.
It is not that as there are 6 pixels added to each side. Or not really added as size is correct but there just is white border and I don't get why. 😅

If you really need you can force display options with Adobe Acrobat.

I think that if you need to use a font that does not allow embedding you can always manually convert them to curves. But for some designers some automation would be nice.

o please understand 'absolutely necessary' doesn't count for everybody.
Not everybody but still very many professional users.

Shift is generally used in graphic apps to add selection.

What is the exact problem? You can manually crop artboards easily. Export selection only exports nicely just selected item. If you want regular area export with same dimensions regardless the object size you can use slices.

1. Because as Photo is a pixel editor it tends to display vector files as they will be in pixels.
2. As in 1.
OK, you might want to check the physical dimensions of the file. At the moment there does not fit too many pixels in it.

Why are they (Raster and Vector) often combined in a Affinity Designer Project?
They have both their own strengths. There is though also extra complication in adding raster effects to a vector shape which renders usually graphic output to full pixel art.

How to prevent hyphenation of a specific word?

or you can place discretionary hyphen in front of the word. That is cmd-shift-hyphen in mac keyboard.
But, it is all manual. Maybe you can find-replace specific words with no-break attribute?
