If you select "rasterize" for a layer it certainly removes extra area behind the "crop border".

AD New Take on Multi-Page Documents
Fixx replied to MikekPhoto's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Why dont you just combine PDFs with Preview? Easy as haymaking. Or most printers can take separate PDF pages for that matter.- 7 replies

[APh] Super resolution via multiple exposures
Fixx replied to Jjpl's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
It would be nice if AP would treat multi-image constructs flexibly. You could extract pano/multirama, focus stack, super resolution from same stack and all effects at the same time. -
Indeed, it would be very nice if you could make global colour adjustments and it would alter the colour values in vector objects direct. Radical!

Crop to size -option really should be added. Not so sure if destructive mode is needed.

Have you tried Document Setup>Colour? That is, if greyscale is the thing you are after.

Mac App Store displays latest version number but I guess you are talking about windows version. -
[ADe] Naming layer when it is created
Fixx replied to Jim Monson's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
umm.. you could just ignore naming and layer name activation disappears (gets default name) when you do your thing using what ever tools you want. Of course if you try to change tool by pressing a key it would not work, also text tool would be a problem... then you need ESC. -
ah, you mean you have to separate mask temporarily from parent for it to take filter layer? And mask can be dragged to original position after adjustment? Seems to work. (Feature request would be that adjustment/filter layer should be applicable to mask (layer) direct.)

I have not made palladium/platinum prints, mere photogravure long time ago... But I do not think there are any special tasks for AP in such production. Maybe it is needed to control Dmin and Dmax, maybe there have to be some correction curve. Probably you can produce neg image like any image. Most challenges are in producing the actual physical negative film. I have no idea what devices can be used there. Maybe there are contone printers or laser exposers that can print to film?

You can import PDF as embedded element by dragging it to AP document window. Then it looks like original (for some reason scale is not right). You cannot though edit it as layout document, you have no access to its internal objects. You can scale, rotate and skew. You can use pixel tools only if you rasterize it. There are lots of apps that can save PDF as image if that is needed.

Recognizing commas as valid decimal separators
Fixx replied to JGD's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
OSX seems to autocorrect point to comma in all applications :-) Basically you can set preferred decimal in Language & Region Preference, but it does not affect autocorrect.- 28 replies

Recognizing commas as valid decimal separators
Fixx replied to JGD's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
I can use either comma or point in AD/AP as in other apps too. Seems to me correct behaviour. Locale is Finnish, with English as language.- 28 replies
