Mac version (Yosemite), both apps, tend to lose toolbar, context toolbar and even toolbox in separated mode. Reset app (ctrl down when starting app) corrects behaviour at least temporarily.

There is no guesswork in document setup, you can give specific dimensions. Artboard tool in in AD work about the same as in Illy.
Usually when people ask for cropping tool in vector app there is a workflow problem.

Depends. Photoshop actions do not work in AP, plugins work mostly (?), templates and other file resources mostly..

Invert selection (cmd-shift-i) works good in my system (mac). It is the actual delete part which is unpredictable. For example often backspace does not affect but cut works.

If you generate crop marks in export too you can compare bleed elements to them and estimate if there is enough bleed when you view resulting PDF. In practice this is not too complicated though sure visible bleedline would help.

All modern design apps embed fonts by default.

You have to save it to PDF and import it.

Mac version has a habit of losing context toolbar and not being able to make it visible again in separated mode. That's why pressing "Develop" is sometimes not so easy..

Posterino may be the best mac app for creating collages. 20$

If it is printed to vinyl some special profile may be needed. Only the printer knows.

Global colour is really a vector graphics concept and generally it is not used in pixel graphics. Use vector objects if you want to edit them with swatch tools.

There should be nothing you have missed, any image should be exportable to any format (but you may lose some features in some formats). Alas, something is wrong. I assume you can save native format. Try to save with different name and restart app, try again. Next, copy layers one by one to new document and try that..

That should be done as vector art.

Try arranging the added graphic back, behind all other elements. Might help.

Basic layout does not need anything special. Just do the few features right.

That would be so nice. (Currently it is shift-F5 and select colour option.)

Experienced users do not need welcome screen. The less we see it the better. Open app, use app, that's it.

most of the other software are weighed down with duplications of photo editing software,
I don't think you can avoid duplicates (raw-tif or raw-apf) using ADAM either. Though it would be enticing idea that AP would be totally nondestructive and use file format of raw-APmeta combination.

It really is not possible to make any meaningful changes to RAW. Theoretically might be possible to tweak sensor data but what is the use? (Some claim RAW is uneditable so it is good for legal use..) Some minor metadata can be changed.
When you develop RAW in AP it is practically an unsaved Affinity Photo file (I guess some of it in RAM, some in disk). It is not a JPEG until you export it to JPEG.
