  1. Preferences > Colour > set colour space to Adobe RGB You have quite tight bracketing, I would prefer much wider steps.
  2. Problem is that AP cannot save 1-bit TIFFs. That is why size is 10 fold. AP is not suitable for 1-bit work now as there is no 1-bit work space.
  3. Same thing happens here (MBP 13-inch, Mid 2012, 24"/27" extra displays). No toolbars in separated mode. I can get them back by resetting the app (ctrl-start app), but effect does not keep. In non-separated mode they work fine.
  4. Problem is that all too often AD will rasterize all content in export to PDF. It should be possible for example to keep shape edges vector and rasterize only contents. Noise fills should be able to have vector bounds. Shadows should be bitmap elements placed inside affected shapes (InDy had this right from version 1). Please beef up PDF export.
  5. How would text size reduce over distance if it is displayed isometric?
  6. Have you tried opening raw with other apps; that is, is the problem only in AP? If it shows in all apps there is i glitch in the original file (and possibly memory card is breaking).
  7. There is a thread here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13970-ade-dimension-tool/
  8. You can just replace the current value with percentage, it works just fine. That is, replace "300 mm" with "50%", press enter and you get 150 mm.
  9. This is usually done with special apps or plugins like Alien Skin Blow Up, OnOne Software’s Perfect Resize or BenVista PhotoZoom Pro 7. “Preserve Details” in Photoshop Image Resizing is pretty good also. If you use windows there is freeware app available in http://a-sharper-scaling.com/ There is also a web service for this: http://waifu2x.udp.jp/
  10. If you want to compare you can save a copy... There is no need to emphasize meaning of high frequency content as its variance and thus impact to file size is not so much with normal photos. If AP would support export in macros it would be possible to line up the standard commands and have a one key work flow. That is what I used to do in PS (nowadays I let LinkOptimizer do that).
  11. As linked files are not supported at the moment I would think link manager will come with Publisher app.
  12. JPEG file size depends mostly on JPEG compression setting (quality setting). "Save" saves JPEG at 100 % quality. That is the default. It may be six times bigger than 50 % quality, depending the image content. At the moment it seems there is no way to adjust that default to suit one shortcut save. Possibly in the new version "sticky settings" feature will remember the last used JPEG quality setting so you could use single shortcut save like you described.
  13. If needed corrections are minor there is no need for complicated perspective correction. Simple free transform is enough.
  14. Imposition is not necessarily needed in DTP app as (pre)press often uses separate special software for it. Of course leaflet printing features are often nice, but there are simple PDF generators available which produce just that.
  15. This can lead you to some weird places: ”In Escape from the Planet of the Apes, the third part of the classic film series Planet of the Apes, Dr Otto Hasslein develops a certain theory of time which explains how it is possible for the apes to be brought back from the future into the past. Hasslein’s theory is that one can understand time only if one interprets it as a kind of “infinite regress.” He explains this to viewers of a news broadcast in which he appears – in the film these viewers are the apes of the future, and of course we are viewers of the film – with the help of an illuminating example. We see a landscape in a painting. We know that someone painted the landscape. So we can also imagine a painting in which a painting appears along with the painter who painted it. But this painting is also painted, and absolutely not by the same painter. For at best he paints the painting in the painting. Thus, we can once again imagine a painting in which we see the painter who paints a picture, in which a painter paints the original landscape, and so on, ad infinitum – an infinite regression.” (– Why the world does not exist / Markus Gabriel)
  16. In this side of the pond default CMYK profile should be set to Fogra39. File size should not be a problem as embedding adds only some 500 kB to file size.
  17. In AP you can access Fill by Shift-F5, which is admittedly is not as easy to remember and as straightforward as PS command. As AD is more vector oriented it seem not to have such command. You can though use Flood Fill tool (bucket) in pixel persona mode.
  18. This is also ok: (Edit: well, maybe not the "Bilinear" part :D )
  19. Other Mac apps close document after save, Affinity does not. Seems a minor bug (or misbehaviour).
  20. Seems there is no simple free transform tool available. Mesh warp tool does what requested but you have to adjust node handles manually to remove curvature. Perspective tool applies perspective to image, it is not simple transform. We need free transform (can be added to Transform submenu) or option to use Mesh warp simple, without curving the edges.
  21. What do you mean by "un-embed"? All graphics are embedded in AD. If they were not, they could be linked, but linking is not supported in AD.
  22. There is no valid reason why all pixel adjustment tools should not be applicable to all pixel selections, be they ordinary image or just a separate channel.
