Angle Rotation
Fixx replied to voyager1's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
You can also select crop tool and just drag document larger. -
Z-click is nifty but actually cmd-space works exactly the same. Unfortunately, to be exact, it is SPACE-CMD – not CMD-SPACE. Little difference but stumps me every time. All other shortcuts work other way round, "modifier key first, letter key then" mode. In PS the order makes no difference. I wish AP would fix this.

Angle Rotation

I did not know you can rotate the transform panel. But it is not showing the correct angle (numerally). Is this a bug? (just kidding) -
Rasterizing thoughts.

It is either an issue or a problem. Internal resample should be something better that nearest neighbour. -
Some minor complaints: Each brush tool should have its own adjustments. I was surprised to find out stamp tool size changed when I changed inpainting brush size and transparency setting transmitted from one tool to another. They should be separate as different tools are used differently and it would be handy to have suitable settings ready in each tool. Image should open filling the screen as much as possible. Now in separated mode image opens about quarter size (which is way too small). It seems to be using some weird stacking routine when opening many images and keeps using that size and order when opening single images too. Apps also lose Toolbar and Context Toolbar very soon after reset in separated mode and it is not possible to get them back without resetting the app. Tool should keep while closing one and moving to next image. Now tool lapses back to View tool ("hand") unnecessarily. I just edited a few hundred photos so these little things kept disturbing.

I am trying to install FF6 (mac/yosemite). Seems bit complicated but would love FF in AP.

DAM update

No, LR can edit photos quite well by itself. Advanced pixel editing takes Photoshop. LR is meant for cataloguing and developing RAW photos, (though it can handle JPEG also of course). If NeoFinder does not allow you to assign a editor tool for JPEG, you can of course change default editor to AP in Finder preferences. (But then all your JPEG default to AP, which may not be appropriate. Of course you can drag&drop files and folders to app icon to get around this.) -
Exporting to pdf
Fixx replied to Bloorie's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Preview page order is permanent when you save (OK saving in Preview can be nonintuitive.. use "save a copy"). Actual data of course may be in wrong order in file structure, but that affects only web browser speed. -
Exporting to pdf

It easy to drag pages to right order in Preview Thumbnail panel if re-export is not feasible. -

It is not for drama (app adjustments make that), but just to cover all dynamic range with fewer exposures. Of course you can cover dynamic range with small step bracketing, it just may take many shots. I though have no knowledge what is the exact optimal overlap but I think HDR is quite forgiving and uses anything it can get. RAW images have no colour space, thus camera colour space setting affects only JPEG. RAW images get a colour space when development app attach one to them. It is usually the working colour space which you indeed set global in preferences. If you redevelop your files with right colour space you should get embedded proper Adobe RGB space and somewhat wider colour gamut. This may or may not make a difference depending your images and what end use they are intended.
