I think many people over the years have requested CJKV support, but unfortunately Affinity team continues to deprioritize it. Hopefully one day they'll get around to it. -

I was ready to drop the money for Publisher 2 and ditch InDesign for good. But have not found any release notes regarding support for East-Asian language typographical layout support. There were many feedback posts in the now archived V1 forum. Come on, it's 2022, and and there are 1.5 billion CJK speakers in the world that Publisher cannot serve.

Also strongly upvote this. Affinity Publisher's lack of East-Asian language typesetting support is the only reason why I'm still using InDesign.
