Thanks for your reply. Screenshot attached. I've just noticed I only get the problem when I'm working on RAW files. JPEGs open in normal black and white.

Thanks John. I feared that. I’ve got the free Google version, which I suspect will not be supported by DxO. I may try deleting it and reinstalling.

I have Silver Efex as a plug-in to Affinity Photo. I recently tried to convert colour photos to black and white in Silver Efex, but when Silver Efex opens, the default conversion is in sepia not black and white. All the other options in the panel on the left side are also sepia. How can I turn the default conversion back to black and white?

[Problem developing Sony ARW files]

Hi @Joachim_L 

I deactivated Hardware Acceleration, and it  works fine now. Its also seems to have solved another problem: previously ARW files were opening in stages in the RAW processor, but now they open instantly. 

The drivers for the graphics card appear to be up to date. I've got an Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics, and an NVIDIA GeForce MX450.

[Problem developing Sony ARW files]

Hi,

Apologies if I’m not reporting this in the correct place.
I have just downloaded the latest version of Affinity Photo. When I try to develop Sony ARW (RAW) files the screen effectively locks, with the circle indicating that development is taking place turning round and round indefinitely.

Any suggestions what the problem may be and how it can be corrected?
