  1. You are right, even though the user account name and directory paths are identical it must be because the name of the machine is different. very annoying!
  2. I have got that automatic linking option checked in preferences so that doesn't appear to work. The relinking works - thanks for the tip, I just hope I don't have to do it again when I copy the updated file back to the iMac!
  3. I created a brochure on my iMac. I have just got a new MacBook Pro and copied all the files from the iMac to the MacBook by using the backup made on the iMac so all the files are in the same directory on both devices. When I open the brochure on the MacBook all of the pictures are blurred so are shown as missing resources. I can get them to view clearly by just replacing the image, but I can't understand why it isn't finding them as they are all in the same directory. I don't want to have to do this for every image as there are hundreds of them in the brochure. I am missing something obvious?
  4. The DPI on the document is set to 300. Is this too high? I dont want the images to appear fuzzy.
  5. This is going a bit over my head - I thought you only got 16 bit images if you shoot photos in RAW format? The pictures in the brochure are either photos shot in JPG or photoshop files which have been saved as jpgs. The odd thing is that I have just changed a few pages of the brochure by replacing some old images with new ones (approx 15 images) and the size has shot up from 43MB to 203MB. I think I must have missed a setting in the export bit. I have ticked downsampling above 120 and JOG compression. Is there anything else I should set?
  6. The AFPUB file of my brochure is 27MB, when I generate the PDF it comes out as a huge 203MB using a resolution of 192px. I don't really understand why the PDF is so much bigger. The brochure has a lot of images in it, how do I reduce the size of the PDF without compromising on the image quality
  7. I am on a IMac running Big Sur, latest version of Affinity Designer. I have a one page headed paper document with a Master page. When viewing the master page it is blank, but is shows all the detail from the master on the pages section - so it looks as if they have swapped over. If I add a blank page and try to apply Master A - it is just a blank page. Very odd. Headed Paper.afpub
