Is anyone still talking about this?  I want to be able to separate Ha and OIII from my OSC and duo band filter.  Help please!

Hi @Dan_Valentin, I know which ones you're referring to, they still exist but are unlisted on YouTube and can be found on the V1 tutorials playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjZ7Y0kROWitoJtnw0pdvjPmS8mYGvrBR
They're not organised however so that could take some time to sift through. I do still have them linked on my tutorials page: https://jamesritson.co.uk/tutorials.html
Please be aware however that they're a little outdated: the stacking process with bad pixel map generation is a bit needlessly complex, and the default stacking settings have changed for V2 which can make this part unnecessary for a majority of data. You are better off stacking with sigma clipping and lowering the default clipping value of 2 before trying to manually alter the bad pixel map.
    Hope that helps!

Wanting to have a shot at C/2022 E3, I was wondering if comet alignment now works with AP 2? It's apparently moving very fast, so star alignment over several shots would be useless.
    Thx!

    Hi,
Thank you for the first response.
I will upload the camera files and the Flats, Darks and Bias files into the drop box.

The use of the ZWO Duo-band filter is a good compromise to get both the Ha and the OIII spectrum of astronomical nebulae with only a few exposures. What is needed is a colour camera - like the ASI183MC Pro.
    The filter description: https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/product/zwo-duo-band-filter
If you isolate the two spectral components Ha and OIII, you can use colour-distorted images like the Hubble colour scale.
In the Astropixelprocessor software is the extraction function for the monochrome files Ha and OIII like a keystroke.
I miss this feature in Affinity photo and I miss the export of the result as FITS files.
    Best regards
    Rainer

    Hi,
How can I extract Ha and OIII monochrome FITS -files from a colour image for astrophotography?
The use of the duo-band is very efficient.
Such functions are available in Astropixelprocessor.
    Best regards
