I've tried both:

Press Ctrl+A to select the whole text;

Double-click then double-click the ‘word' layer,

but the 'text cursor' never shows. Ah what can I do?

Hello, can anyone tell me why Publisher suddenly can't edit text?
No matter whether I 'click' or 'double click', the text can't be selected, and I can't type in or change fonts. 
I've reinstalled Publisher, but with the same result.
