The selection of a elliptical area marque has been made possible only from the centre to outwards. In many cases it would be much more convenient to select from the corner of the area. Especially in areas where the circular shape is not fully visible.

Could there be a toggle key to make the selection from the corner.

My name is Nikolai Ylirotu. Living in Riihimäki, Finland. And working in a company called Sarvikuono Design. Rhino Design in english. Have used Affinity Family since it was published. Very pleased to the price and quality ratio. Also I love this community around the products.

I used Adobes products since 1991. But I fed up this monhtly paying, also these products were so full of gizmos and I just wanted something simpler, more straightforward. From that you can quess that there is almost nothing to miss from Adobe. Even now when I got finnish hyphenation to Publisher.

What I do? Books, logos, PDFs, coat of arms. Also website design, photo editing. With vectors and with pixels, and now, quite often, blending those techniques.

[Colors not same in document and in colour chooser?]

I have noticed, after my last update, that colors in chooser and in document are not the same. Colors in chooser are dull and brownish,. but in document they are right. As you can see in image.

I created my own ICC-file to get colors right in document. I assigned this ICC to documents and to AP. But it seems to me that Afiinity Photo, for some unknown reasons, cannot use it in chooser.

What to do??

It would be nice to get blur to the mask layer without releasing it first.

One thing what I miss is a appearing colour droppers icon when you press Alt. Now you see brushes icon and it is not the easiest way to select certain point and certain colour with 20 pixels wide brush.

One thing I really miss in Beta is possibility to add external editors. It would be very handy to open image straight from Publisher to Photo. AND save them back and to see changes.

[Selection to path or stroke]

Hi 

In Photoshop is possible to create outline from selection. I can use Outline to create same, but quality is quite awful. Another way would be to create path from selection.

Is it already in roadmap and when it would appear to AP?

Hi everyone
I'am Nikolai Ylirotu, 49 years old graphic designer and UIX designer from Finland. I have used PS and other Adobe products since 1991. So, I have new and interesting new path with Affinity products waiting. 

Other areas of interest are heraldry, logos and trademarks. I used to use Freehand for design but Affinity Designer, by trial, seems to be next program to use.  

What I want. Usability, it is number one. I have now used trial versions and now having Affinity Photo for productions. Few things Id like to get to AP. One is presized or preratioed selections. I create website mockups and I have to create standard size elements, like images and buttons. Second is upgrade for info box. If I have an area selected, it would be good to see the size of area. Now these figures goes "blank".

I am also asking trial version before buying your very promising software. I have worked with Photoshop since 1991 and love it, but I don not want to be Adobes money slave and pay monthly fee for them.
