Adding “stroke” to text on an iPad

Here’s an example of me trying to do this on my iPad IMG_1170.MOV -
Hi all! So I’m trying to create a chrome looking logo going by a YT tutorial. At 2:30 he gets to the point where he dupes a layer and add a stroke to it. His tutorial is for a desktop. I’m not seeing a “stroke” anywhere on my ipad version. Only an “outline” selection within the “FX” icon on the right sidebar which is not giving me the same result. IS there a stroke feature?

Sorry if I’m not using the correct terminology I’m new to all this! I’m trying to make the background grass in this photo show up as the fill on the text if that makes any sense. So basically “cutting out” the inside of the font and replacing it with the grass background. Don’t care if there’s a black outline around the new “grass text” in fact, would prefer it. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Gradient Mask not truly transparent?

Thanks DM1 Took some fiddling but this did work eventually! So weird that you can’t just make it TRULY transparent without the extra node. -
I needed to elongate the canvas on a wide photo so the sky was taller. So I enlarged the canvas and used the Smudge brush to pull the sky upward to fill the now tall canvas. I’ve been trying to “smooth” the sky for about 20 minutes now so it doesn’t look so streaky. Does anyone have any idea what tool I’d use to blend the sky so it looks more uniform in color and not so streaky? Thank you!

Why is the mask I’m overlaying on this picture not truly transparent on the right hand side? The opacity on the “white” right hand dot is set to zero, however it’s still leaving a white color over the right hand side of the fill… Any suggestions? Thank you!
