Lock a layer with all object from selection in Designer

Jackdaw posted a topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

How can I make an entire layer with all object locked for selection and modification in Designer? The only way I can do this right now is to select all objects and lock them or put them in a locked group. What's up with the layer lock? It should do the same right?
