There's no fix for this? I want to move my whole team over from illustrator, but this puts a hole in my workflow.

When applying a style to an object it scales all the values based on the object's dimensions, regardless of if 'scale with object' is applied in the style or not. Is there some workaround to have styles with absolute sizes? See the inner shadow's size applied to these two objects for an example.
