BTW. for the meanwhile I am working with affinity publisher on a macbook, but also there I have two issues: 1. error when saving as package, while the package is saved properly and also works properly on a colleagues machine. And 2. I can't export PDF

1. Are you using the latest release version? YES

(here's how to check)

1. Can you reproduce it? YES
   (if you cannot then we may struggle to also, making it even harder to fix)
2. Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? YES for both, new and existing documents
3. If you cannot provide a sample document then please give an accurate description of the problem for example it should include most of the following:

•    What is your operating system and version (Windows 10, OSX Mojave, iOS 12 etc)? WINDOWS 10, 
•    Is hardware acceleration (in Preferences > Performance) ON or OFF ? (and have you tried the other setting?) It happens in botn cases - ON and OFF
•    What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) I open a new document and the entire system (Windows) freezes immidiatly. I open an existing documnet and es soon as I make any changes (resize a picture frame or taxt frame or anything, the entire system (Windows) freezes within 2-3 seconds
•    Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did). Open Publisher App, open recent document, select document, open, try to edit, crash
•    Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video. I can't provide screenshots as the system freezes
•    Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers., No external monitors, so external drives, no external mouse or keyboard. Just the Dell XPS 9500
•    Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware) The app worked for nearly a year, through updates and so on. I think after the latest update, the app started to give error messages when trying to save the file as a package. In addition I was not able to export the file as PDF. Then the problems excalated until thi point where the app is basically unusable and it crashes the entire system

there is not much more to say to it ...

- on exporting PDF - any format - affinity publisher either throughs an error message that it couldn't export and/or crashes itself AND the windows system

- Similar on Mac OS (intel), just that the system is not crashing, but the export seem to be stuck - like the way it never finishes

both systems are more than capable, all software and drivers are up to date

 

Is there a solution?
