[Chinese Traditional not showing correctly in 1.10.1]

Thank you for your welcome and reply.

I tried with different fonts, and all have the same issue. But when I created a new document to show the issue, the text pasted in that new document was perfect. Any font (including Helvetica) was correct.

So I thought the issue was with the file. So I started pasting the components to the new file (where Traditional Chinese character were shown correctly) when the Publisher crashed. On restart the issue seemed to be back again, even on new documents. After further investigation and trying different strings, I see the same error appearing and disappearing. 

When that happens is I paste without format I see a blank rectangular for each missing ideograms, if I just paste there will be white spaces.

 

I kept investigating, and I found a workaround:

1. generate a PDF from pages (but I assume any other application will work)
2. import the PDF in Publisher and choosing a TC font
3. copy the string from the imported PDF into the working document

With those steps there is no issue.

When pasting text in Chinese Traditional in Publisher (the same error happens in Photo and Designer) some ideograms do not appear or appear as a crossed box 

 

Pasting in Pages, Mail or the browser works smoothly (工作啟動).

I tried with many fonts, but Affinity software always have that issue.

A thing I noted, is the font field show a "!" before the name of the font (regardless it's a Chinese font or not). I assume something went wrong, but no other error is show.

 

Chinese Simplified works without any issue.

Do you know how to overcome that issue?
