I am sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone. I am not sure why but my entire personal font library was wiped out. Fortunately I save the original font files in one place so it was easy to get them all installed. I did not know MS had added Avenir font to their cloud font offerings. That explains why Avenir went missing in Designer but was still available in Word. Now to figure out why all of my fonts were wiped... Thanks to everyone who helped with this and offered suggestions. It helped point me down the right path and explained somethings I wouldn't have otherwise understood.

My problem is in Windows 10 (fully updated). My problem also persists in Affinity Photo. I really need an answer quick. I will be attempting to downgrade to 1.9 and let everyone know how it goes.

I have a font I routinely use and after my update from 1.9.x to 1.10.1.1142 the font no longer appears in my list of fonts. I can see that the font is still installed and I can use it across the Office suite. I have tried a reboot. Tons of other fonts are missing too. How do I proceed?
