  1. I support this and would like to add my frustration with not having an option to have the default Save As / Export folder be the source of the opened file. It is a very common user experience that is reflected in many many applications (eg. every Microsoft product) This is a SIMPLE feature request. An option in the Preferences and some simple code. It would only be 1 Story Point (for you Agile / SAFe devs out there)
  2. I support this issue. I use Photo to edit existing photos, not creating new documents with a template. In Photo1 (and PS) when I press the Grid shortcut I get a usable grid that you can see, and that does not need to be re-configured with every photo that I open. This works even while in the middle of another transform, which is excellent. In Photo2 it defaults to drawing a border around every pixel, which IMO is redundant and useless when photo editing. So with EVERY photo I work on, i have to stop what I am doing, go into View>Grid etc. and load up my pre-set. When I am trying to get though many photos in an hour it seriously impacts my workflow, and makes me want to go back to Photo1 every time.
  3. As a user of Photoshop for over 10 years (admittedly never above CS3), my experience is that PS showed you a usable grid that you could see and did not need to be re-configured with every photo I open. It also did not default to something as useless as drawing a border around every square pixel.
  4. Any view as to when this fix will be in place? Having to reset this for EVERY photo (i.e. every few minutes) makes me want to go back to Photo1. THanks for the visibility of the issue.
  5. I support this issue. I use Photo to edit existing photos (so not creating a New Doc with a template). In Photo 1, when I pressed the Grid shortcut (even while in the middle of another transformation, which was great) it displayed the grid using the last used grid settings. In Photo 2, it never remembers the last used grid settings. So each photo I have to stop what I am doing, go into View >Grid etc and load up my pre-set. It's slow and annoying, and makes me want to go back to Photo 1 every time it happens.
  6. Hello @stokerg ! HW acceleration is not enabled. For a test I enabled it and the issue still exists.
  7. Experiencing a strange issue in Photo. When I zoomed out of a long panorama I was assembling (using old photos) the visibility of some middle layers would disappear, even though it was still checked as visible. As I zoomed in/out, different layers/masks would disappear/appear. I restarted the program and the same thing would happen. If I export the image to JPG it looks fine. This is just a visual glitch. In the following images, I am just zooming in/out of the centre of the image. Hard to see in the later images, but it looks like masks are being disabled/enabled. Any idea? Thanks, Andy
  8. That seems to work fine. Thanks for everyone's contributions.
  9. New pixel layer in new document - works fine New pixel layer in current document - same issue. The current document was converted from a PSD IIRC, so maybe that is the source of the issue ?
  10. sorry - clicked on wrong video ... 2021-09-03 13-36-30.mkv
  11. Wow - this was fun. Fresh start of Photo with OpenGL off. Drew Linear gradient - you can see the incorrect snap went to Radial gradient - you can see it looks eliptical/wrong went back to Linear - not sure what that is! a shear ? 2021-09-03 13-36-30.mkv
  12. Actually - Old Bruce pointed out something to me. Why are there two lines when using RADIAL ? (I am NOT using ELLIPTICAL). Flipping between the two did not change. Sorry i didn't notice that before, but I am new to this tool.
  13. I can't change the angle of those two lines. The tool seems very cumbersome, especially since the colour picker only shows 1 of the colours at a time, so you are always clicking on small objects (dangerous because you could deselect it and then lose editing ability) I'll try for the screen record ..
  14. I am drawing a new radial gradient on a blank pixel layer. When I adjust the gradient size handles by dragging my mouse, the gradient draws correctly. However when I release the mouse, the resulting gradient changes to ... something different. Image 1 is a screen capture while still holding the mouse and dragging the size handle. Notice the gradient is nice and circular. Image 2 is a screen capture right after I release the mouse button. Notice it is very different ! any ideas ?
