Crop tool grid disappearing

in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

When I use the Crop tool in Affinity Photo, the grid disappears after I make the first move, so I cannot see what I am doing. Has anyone else had this issue. I am on a Mac using OS 10.15.7
