Affinity Photo for Windows won't open after update (split)

Hi, I opened affinity photo this morning and it ran an automatic update, since then the programme will not open. I just get the first screen up and then it goes. I have restarted my pc, no different I have uninstalled and then reinstalled, no different. Is there a problem with this update? If so how do I disable it? Thanks Patrick
