Raw files showing on affinite as jpegs

Gen10 posted a topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

I am using a mac and Canon R5 my photos are shot in raw but when I go into Affinity photos to work on them, they are showing as 8bit jpeg
