I have this problem too. Now, I do like this: 1. Use a Windows11 PC open the affinity file. 2. Save as an another file. 3. Then I can open the new file on macOS Sonoma.

Designer 1.10.0 / iMac 24'' with M1 / macOS 11 I open the old .affinity file, and the text with Adobe Free Font 'source han sans' & 'source han serif' cann't show Chinese.(but English is OK) I check the Fonts is OK, I use "iWork Pages" with the 2 font, Pages App show right. So, there is somthing wrong with affinity 1.10.1. I send a sample file to attach.
