    Hi,

I would like to see Grey Component Replacement, Under-Colour Removal and Dot Gain be added to Affinity Photo. Important for controlling the K (black) plate in CMYK printing.

Apologies in advance if this is already covered – I posted in the forums but got no reply (as below).

In Affinity Photo, how do I manipulate Gray Component Replacement (GCR), Under Colour Removal (UCR) and dot gain settings? In Photoshop, it is accessed via the ‘Color Settings’ dialog box, go to the ‘Working Spaces’  part of the dialog box, click the drop-down menu for CMYK and select Custom CMYK.

Vital for controlling the important black plate (channel) on press.

    Hi MEB,

    Thanks for your reply.
Related to this, I'll paste here a feature request that I posted in that part of the forum . . .

    Hi Hard-Working Affinity Team :),

Any chance of getting the ability to record (as Macros) adding new sampler points?

When I start colour correcting an image, I frequently add a Threshold and Curves adjustment layer (which I have recorded as a Macro).
On the end of this macro, I would like the ability to record adding three sampler points to the Info box down the bottom right-hand side of the screen. This would speed up my colour correction workflow, as all I would have to do from then, is place the sampler points on the highlight, neutral and shadow areas of my image.

Go to menu View ▸ Studio ▸ Info to display the Info panel then drag and drop the target icon on canvas where you want to leave the "picker stamp". Click the first icon (a little above the target one) to change the colour format. To add additional samplers click the small menu icon on the top right of the Info panel and select Add New Sampler.

    Hi,

Being able to set your white, mid and black points using ink values (by the numbers), gives you the most accurate way of controlling how much ink hits the page. Important when supplying images for use in CMYK printing and you don't want to let pre-press software automatically make decisions about these matters. Please see attached PDF.

It would be great to see this essential feature in Affinity Photo.

    Cheers,

+1 For a picker to set Black/White Point
It's very useful to be able to decide exactly what i want to be black/white in an image.
