  1. Hi,

It keeps crashing for me as well. I have a 14 page document with master pages, text styles and linked text boxes. No images at this stage – just text and a few boxes.

When I go to paste copied text or sometimes just hit the space bar – it crashes. It's crashed 5 times in less than 10 minutes.

I have Affinity Publisher Beta 1.7.0.206 (just downloaded this latest beta update today) on a Mac Pro mid-2010 with mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6. Processor 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Xeon with 10GB RAM.

    Cheers,

  2. Hi,

I find this tool handy for fashion and portraiture work where I want to highlight the model. It saves me having to create a shape (no big deal anyway).

In addition to the exposure, hardness, scale and shape functions within this filter, a rotation (in degrees) function would be handy also.

Perhaps combined with the ability to rotate it 'by hand' with our mouse would also be good. And then to drag it's centre point around so we can position the vignette where we desire i.e. so it doesn't have to be anchored to the centre of the image.

    Cheers,

I’ve posted this here because it has been in the ‘Bugs on Mac’ forum since February. People have replied but no official response to what is a serious bug.

Batch processing is a fundamental part of a high volume workflow and the ‘New Batch Job’ command doesn’t work properly. When using it, whether on multiple files or just one file, the batch processed files are coming out way too dark whereas when I export individual files to jpg using the Export command, they're fine. When using the ‘New Batch Job’ command, it looks like I've duplicated the layer and used the Multiply blend mode.

Some feedback (with a timeframe) from Serif would be reassuring as singularly exporting hundreds of files is not ideal.

Do any of the moderators have updated information from Serif on this bug? Can this issue get escalated and quickly sorted?

    Cheers,

  4. Hi,

Ability to target more colours with the various colour selection tools (e.g. HSL and Selective Colour) in the Raw and Photo personas.

    Orange

    Aqua

    Purple

Additionally ‘Select > Select Colour Range’ –  add cyan, magenta, yellow, orange, aqua and purple.

Would there be any benefit of adding these extra colours to the ‘Curves’ and ‘Levels’ commands as well?

  6. Hi MEB,

    Thanks for your reply.

Related to this, I'll paste here a feature request that I posted in that part of the forum . . .

    Hi Hard-Working Affinity Team :),

Any chance of getting the ability to record (as Macros) adding new sampler points?

When I start colour correcting an image, I frequently add a Threshold and Curves adjustment layer (which I have recorded as a Macro).

On the end of this macro, I would like the ability to record adding three sampler points to the Info box down the bottom right-hand side of the screen. This would speed up my colour correction workflow, as all I would have to do from then, is place the sampler points on the highlight, neutral and shadow areas of my image.

  8. Hi,

I would like to see Grey Component Replacement, Under-Colour Removal and Dot Gain be added to Affinity Photo. Important for controlling the K (black) plate in CMYK printing.

Apologies in advance if this is already covered – I posted in the forums but got no reply (as below).

In Affinity Photo, how do I manipulate Gray Component Replacement (GCR), Under Colour Removal (UCR) and dot gain settings? In Photoshop, it is accessed via the ‘Color Settings’ dialog box, go to the ‘Working Spaces’  part of the dialog box, click the drop-down menu for CMYK and select Custom CMYK.

Vital for controlling the important black plate (channel) on press.

  10. Hi,

Re. the Affinity-produced video on Vimeo – 'Channels: Greyscale Blending' where one colour channel from one colour space is duplicated and equations are applied to it . . .

What advantage can you see in using this method compared to say, curves, using blending modes, duplicating channels and altering blending ranges etc.

I'm not saying this is not a good method – just that it is new to me and I'm curious as to what situations you may have found it useful compared to other methods.

  11. Hi,

I would like to see 'Selective Colour' added to the RAW Develop persona. I know it's in the Photo persona but it would be handy in the Develop persona, too.

Also, in the Develop persona, it would be handy to be able to target orange, aqua, cyan, magenta, yellow, red, green, blue individually for saturation purposes. (And add orange and aqua to the Photo persona).

    Cheers,

    Paul Zab

P.S.: keep up the great work Affinity team :)
