  1. Well I never really use a keyboard with Affinity, I just tried it on the file I had the issue with, and it doesn't crash when using a keyboard and mouse. However, now it doesn't crash using the switch and surface pen either (or any combination of pen/mouse/keyboard/controller). I can't think of anything I did 'wrong' when it crashed (happened in multiple files on multiple occasions). I did try to save the file and then colorpick, but that didn't change anything. I was hoping this would be a wider spread error so more people could give input, as it only happens occasionally and I can't reproduce it right now.
  2. Hey! Sure, here you go: I'm on a Surface Book 3, operating system windows 10, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Hardware acceleration is on. I'm on 1.10.1 latest version. I use a Nintendo Switch controller for hotkeys, so I mapped the ALT-key to one of the buttons. pressing the alt key and clicking on a photo layer to color pick (with my surface pen) just immediately shuts down my project. I haven't had any other problems with the Switch controller btw, I don't think that's the issue.
  3. Since 1.10, I have experienced severel crashes when using the color picker on a layer. I pick the color and affinity photo just immediately shuts down. Never happened with 1.9.
  4. I tried your suggestions (thanks for the follow-up!). Changing the renderer changes nothing. The retina rendering however, fixes it. It was on 'automatic - best'. Changing it to either low quality or high quality gets rid of the original problem (the rendering in squares). I think my settings from 1.9 were unchanged when updating to 1.10, so this probably is something that slipped in with the update?
  5. @Julia04 I wonder what kind of problems you're having? This is my first experience with digital drawing and I probably wouldn't realize some things that don't work as they should.
  6. It's on 'low precision'. Should I use windows ink instead? Also, I already reinstalled gpu drivers edit: same issue with windows ink
  7. Hey @Chris B , the document is 2000 by 2000 pixels at 300dpi. it happens even with a basic 4px brush. But I have been working on this size of document with different size brushes for close to a year every day now and have never had this problem before (I have had some brush lag and stuff , but never this.) It happened right after updating to 1.10. same gpu drivers etc. I'm on a surface book 3 with dedicated gpu.
  8. just updated from 1.9 to 1.10, the brush is bugging out. didn't have this before. (see video attached) Same behaviour with or without hardware accelleration TinyTake by MangoApps-05-08-2021-09-18-07.mp4
