Ok, here's a short video. First you can see me moving the layers with no problems (other than my own clumsiness, haha). Next I start downloading a couple of pics from my phone, and while it's downloading, I try to move layers again. Designer is gone immediately. No crash report generated, though, sorry.

Hm, there is no crash report in C:\Users\fdk\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Designer\1.0\CrashReports\reports\ but I have four newly generated *.json files and a *.dmp in C:\Users\fdk\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Designer\1.0\CrashReports\Backtrace\
Can I attach those in a non-public way somehow (if those files are of any use for you)?
Regarding the screen capture video, I will try to figure out how I can do this. I think I have OBS somewhere, just haven't used it in ages...

I just noticed an interaction between Affinity Designer 1.9.2.1035 and MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.12 and also 1.8.15 (current version, https://www.fjsoft.at/en/ ).
While I download files from my phone to my PC via Bluetooth with MyPhoneExplorer, in Designer the attempt of rearranging layers by dragging with the mouse crashes Designer. No freeze - the Designer window immediately closes and that's it. (Re-arranging by using the menu works fine.)

Are you using the latest release version?
Yes: 1.9.2.1035 (also happens in the latest Beta 1.10.0.1127 (Beta) with MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.12 (haven't tested Beta with 1.8.15))

In MyPhoneExplorer:
Connect to phone via bluetooth.
Drag&drop a bunch of files (e.g. jpgs) from the software into a Windows Explorer window to download.While file transfer is running, in Designer:
Create new document or open a document.
Create layers if needed.
Try to move a layer by dragging with the mouse.
Result: Designer crashes (window disappears immediately).------------------------

Thanks Sean, I just uploaded the files.
Ok, yeah, I'm not sure what happens, that's why I didn't call it a bug. I don't blame neither software, and it could just as well be some weird thing on my system, who knows. Such interactions can be tough to understand.
Anyways, I mean, the issue can easily be avoided once you know it, but it took me quite a while yesterday, so I thought I might point it out here for reference.
Interesting, I didn't have any other problems with MyPhoneExplorer, but I noticed when I download files to my PC, it completely blocks the Windows Explorer window (the one I dropped the files on) from interaction. Can't move it, can't minimize it. Oh well...
Edit: But I think it's a nice tool, I definitely should donate a couple of bucks.
