ACDSee 2020 is also installed on my pc. The same layer mask function works regularly.

I have the same problem with masks: activating a layer mask, positioning myself on it in the layers panel, the brush action with white as with black has no effect. Positioning myself on the pixel layer, the black or white brush stroke is regular. On the other hand: layer masks don't work. The problem occurred after the last update. It would be useful to have a document manager, which can be integrated with Affinity Photo and Designer, in particular for managing photos.
