Thank you very much for your help
I didn't get it quite as small as you did using the same methods but still to a more handball file size of 46,1 MB
could you maybe explain why these methods worked so I can understand for the next file.. and skip the trial and error method
or are there any pre settings, or something I did wrong, to prevent the file from getting so big?
would be great to know

Hello ,
I am new to Affinity and am just starting to work myself into the programs
I have created an Affinityphoto file consisting of several cut outs out of JPG's. The file has continued to grow to a size of 1 GB. So I have followed some threads in this forum about file sizes and how to reduce them.
I have tried the the option to delete the snapshot via:
"Save" or "Save as..." the file.
Close the document.
Reopen the document
Then do another "Save" or "Save as..."This hardly reduced the file size.
Then I have rasterised all the layers and did the "save as procedure again" wich helped a little as it reduced my file to 993MB
Then I took all the layers and copied them into a new file this reduced the size to 928MB
I have then tried to change the format from RGB to ICC wich reduced the size further to 814MB
But I couldn't find any further advice on reducing file sizes and 853MB is still to big...
I have attached my file with the smallest possible size I was able to create and would be very grateful for any advice on how to further reduce the size.
Thank you very much in advance
