As you see it didn't really get anywhere towards answering the question.

In respect of upgrading to Affinity Publisher, I only use PP8 relatively spasmodically; it serves my needs, and I don't really have any enthusiasm for finding my way round a completely new software. (It didn't work for me with Affinity Photo and I am still using PhotoPlus with complete satisfaction!)

This problem actually relates to PagePlusX8 rather than Affinity Publisher, but I have made the query on the Legacy forum unsuccessfully. It seems to me that the answer really needs to come from Serif technical support, rather than the people who have replied in that forum who are unable to answer the question I posed, and this support is no longer available to the Legacy forum. As a result I am hoping to get some assistance here.

I have a problem with trying to incorporate public holidays in a calendar, which are clearly no longer updating due to the length of time since PPX8 was discontinued. I can enter these manually as if they were personal events but it would be useful if it is possible to import the details en bloc from a spreadsheet/csv file.
