    Before performing the Boolean operation, the stroke needs to be expanded.
    Select all the curve layers in the group, then Layer > Expand Stroke. Select all layers in the file, then Layer > Object > Subtract (or via the Subtract button in the Toolbar). I think that should do what you're trying to achieve.
