  1. Installed the new drivers. Testing now.

You brought up the size of the file.  I checked earlier versions and they are at 2.5 GB. Then I cropped it so that should have reduced it.  The next thing I did is resize the document and that's what exploded the file size. I checked other files and it seems pretty consistent. Most files are around the same 2.5 GB but if I've resized the document it jumps up to 12 or more.

  2. Local Drive. Samsung 4 GB SSd.

Not sure what's going on. File size didn't matter. Any adjustment, brightness, levels, took a long time to apply and when it was complete that layer, while still there, would not display. I've tried hardware acceleration on and off. Small files. Big files. Different adjustments. Restarts. Something in my system isn't playing nice. Only programs I run are Spotify and Affinity. Some web browsing. No games. Strong computer. Problems are fairly recent. Was working fine until about two months ago.

  3. Thank you for your help, Dan.

    1. Windows 10

    2. Affinity 1.9.2.1035

    3. Local Disk Samsung SSD

    4. Not the first time this has happened. Maybe my file got to large? Also seems more likely to happen the longer the Affinity App has been running. Normally the save process is quick but when this happens the save takes a long time and then something goes wrong at the end in the 'load' portion of the save- I think.

It's not a big deal if I don't get it back. Nothing important, just something I work on for fun and I'll have it recreated (more or less) fairly soon. I was just frustrated yesterday.
